  1. Bristol Township Senior Center The Young in Heart Activities and Events

  2. MEMBERSHIP MEETING • Every 1st & 3rd Friday of the month. • Next meeting – Sept 21st • Board Meeting – 9am to 10:30am • General Meeting – 10:30am

  3. BINGO • Every Tuesday Night – doors open at 5:30pm • Early bird specials start at 6:45pm • Pot of Gold - $450.00 • Volunteers needed: To call back numbers every third week. • There will be no Bingo on Sept 25th. • Friday Bingo – 12pm to 2pm

  4. BOWLING • Every Wednesday at Bristol Pike Lanes on Route 13 • Starts at 11 am • $1.25 per game • Wii bowling every Tuesday at 12:00pm

  5. **SPECIAL MEETING FOR MAINE TRAIN TRIP** • Friday, Sept 14th • 10 AM • Bernie from Curran Travel will be here with luggage tags and information about the Maine Train Trip

  6. TRIPS • Wednesday – Oct 10th – Crab Trap & Casino (TBA). Bus leaves at 9am. • Wednesday – Dec 5th – Christmas Show at American Music Theater. 10:30am show followed by 1pm lunch at Hershey Farms. • See Trip Board for more information.

  7. BALLROOM DANCING • Every Friday Night • 7:30 pm to 10:30pm • $10 per person • Different band every week. • This week – Bill and Greg • Refreshments

  8. GARDEN CLUB • Meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the Month at 12:30 pm • Sept 18th – Garden Tour to Sesame Place. Leaves at 12:30 pm. Must register in the office. • Oct 9th – Late fall and winter event planning meeting. • Oct 23rd – Prep for Harvest Fair, scarecrow & gourds event. Maybe do baking for the Harvest Fair.

  9. EXERCISE PROGRAMS • Arthritis Classes– Starting Monday, Sept 17th at 12pm. • Line Dancing – every Monday and Thursday from 9:45am to 11:15am • Wii Bowling – Tuesday’s at 12 pm. • Tai Chi – No classes in Aug, will start again on Sept 6th • Chair Yoga – every Saturday at 11am to 12pm. Will return on September 15th. • Soul Line Dancing- every Wednesday night from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

  10. OTHER PROGRAMS • Wood Carving – Mondays, 9am to 12pm • Pool/Pocket Billiards – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9am to 2pm. Must be a member of the center to play. • Needlepoint/Needle Crafts- Mondays, 9am to 12pm. • Game Day – Tuesdays, 10am to 12pm. Play Sequence, Farkle and other games.

  11. COMPUTER ROOM • Computer Classes – 4 weeks. $25.00 Held on Mondays & Thursdays, 9am to 11am. For courses & schedule, call the center • Computer Lab, Internet and Gadget Help – Daily 11am to 2pm. • Genealogy Class – Thursdays, 12pm to 2pm. $40. Call for more info. • Greeting Cards by Evelyn D’Aguanno. Personalized cards for birthdays, anniversaries or any occasion.

  12. GRANDPARENTS DAY – SEPT 9TH • Grandfamilies • Intergenerational Programs • Grand Rally • Grand Faces • Grand Voices Initiative • Captains 4 Kids • Come to the Senior Expo on Sept 13th to learn more from Generations United

  13. SENIOR EXPO WITH STATE REPRESENTATIVE - TINA DAVIS • Thursday Sept 13th – from 10am to 2 pm • Door prizes & giveaways • Veteran’s ID • Sounds of Independence Choir • Various Exhibitors • Variety of Screenings will be offered.

  14. GIFT CARDS & STATIONERY DRAWING • 3 -$25 Gift Cards courtesy of Staples, Walgreens & Office Max • 4 Burger King Gift Certificates – choice of cheeseburger or chicken fingers w/fries and a soda • M & M’s • Lunch Bag/backpack • Various stationery items • Drawing is Sept 13, do not need to be present to win.

  15. 6 Week course. • 1st session is Sept 11 to Oct 16, 3pm to 5:30pm • 2nd session is Sept 25 to Oct 30, 9am to 11:30 am • Snacks will be served • Partnership with St Mary’s Hospital • Learn to manage your own health. • Receive a $25 gift card when you complete the 6 week • course. • Sign up in the office or call the center of more info.

  16. FLU SHOTS • Pandemic Flu Drill – Saturday, Sept 29th from 10 am to 1pm. It is a Drive-through Vaccine at Levittown Fire Co. No 2 Station 13 • Flu shots at the Center – Oct 12th • Sign up in the office for the Oct 12th flu shots

  19. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNTIES • We are looking for a volunteer to help with the design of our website. We thank Lee Connelly for his work on the website. We want to change the design of the site to integrate new interactive tools. We want to add social media links to our website. • We are looking for a volunteer to add special events to our Google calendar along with a center photographer to come take pictures at the center events and post them on our Facebook page. • We are also looking for program volunteers to help us with planning and coordinating special events, including monthly cultural and holiday celebrations., parties and socials. • Do you have a talent in the arts? We are beginning a new program to bring artists together. • Please contact the office for more information.
