  2. Early Life • Date Birth: August 1 , 1809. • Place of Birth: South Carolina. • Death: March 6, 1836. • Siblings: 11 brothers and sisters combined.(he was the oldest)

Early Life • Education: Went to an academy in Sparta until he learned all that was taught there; then moved to another school and become an instructor to younger kids..thenhe became a well known lawyer. • Physical Characteristics: Outstanding looking man, great leader, tall, fit, smart, and mature beyond his age. • Childhood Information: Worked on the family farm, attended school, and church, played with local kids.

  4. Adulthood • Wife: Rosanna- divorced Travis • Children: Susan and William • Career: Practiced Law, but early years he was a school educator

  5. Role During The Texas Revolution • What key parts did he play during the Texas Revolution? He was a leader, alone side of Davy Crockett. Travis was a great leader. Everybody knew that Travis knew what he was talking about.
