  2. Feldspars are significant rock-forming minerals in igneous rocks. Rocks can be divided depending on the content of Feldspar in them. The mineral feldspar is divided into several types. This division is based on the amount of calcium, sodium, or potassium. • The color of the mineral feldspar depends on the amount of calcium, sodium, and potassium added to them. If the sodium content is high in minerals, the color of the mineral will be lighter. • Feldspar is ground in a grinding mill to get feldspar powder. The structure is neutralized by one monovalent cation, usually Na and K. • However, when two Si atoms have been replaced, the formula unit becomes XAl2Si208 balanced by Ca. Feldspar may be called orthoclase, albite, anorthite, or celsian depending upon the cation if it has K, Na, Ca, or Ba respectively in its voids. • Most of the other Feldspar in the solid-solution series can be classified as the ternary system of Na-rich albite, K-rich orthoclase, and Ca-rich anorthite, as these Feldspar are pretty standard.
