  1. Non-Destructive Testing And Their Value in industrial Applications Non-destructive testing methods are valued in industries for ensuring quality in processes. Non-destructive testing (NDT) or non-destructive evaluation (NDE) covers a wide range of evaluation techniques that are used to analyse the properties of a material, part or a system used in different industries. The NDT processes are performed without actually altering the properties of the sample examined. The term non-destructive actually describes the nature of this technology. It is a highly valuable technique used across various industries because it doesn’t alter the particle under inspection. The technology saves both time and money in material inspection, analysis, troubleshooting and research. Different NDT methods are used in industries to ensure quality of the products or processes. Commonly used methods include eddy current testing, radiographic, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, low coherence interferometry, and others. A number of industries make better use of the NDT technology – forensic, medicine, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aeronautical, systems engineering, art and civil engineering. Digital Imaging New England is also one of the many popular methods of NDT which helps to gather enough information about the material used and its properties. Digital radiography is one among many NDT methods used in industries for product or material analysis. It is a type of X-ray imaging and uses digital X-ray sensors replacing traditional photographic film. The method has many advantages including time efficiency through avoiding chemical processing. Moreover, it has the ability digitally transfer enhanced images which makes things a lot easier for professionals. Also, high quality images as produced by conventional radiography can be generated using very less radiations X-ray film is replaced by digital image capture device in digital radiography. This setting has many advantages like instant image preview and availability for urgent applications; complete elimination of expensive image processing steps; broader dynamic range; and the facility to apply special image processing techniques to improve overall display of an image.

  2. NDT methods are used in a variety of settings and a broad array of industrial activities. This has been possible with various NDT methods and applications being continuously developed and applied across industries. These methods are routinely applied across industries to prevent the failure of a component which can otherwise have hazardous effect on life and economy. Industries like piping, transportation, hoisting equipment, building structures and pressure vessels make good use of the technology available. Testing services and facilities are offered by many companies with the help of certified professionals. Hiring services from an experienced professional ensures the support of Certified Welding Inspectors Massachusetts and other trained inspectors which make the entire process of material analysis accurate and easy.
