Necessity of Communication • To show how tending to the spiritual care needs of the person is valuable in the healing process. • To articulate the value of the work of chaplains in a way that is understood by corporate thinkers and by other disciplinary team members. • To articulate how the role of chaplains is integral in the operations of the institutions

  5. Communication Challenges • “Spiritual Care” is intangible and is challenging to describe. • Different understanding/interpretations/perspective of the role of chaplains • Lack of common language • Attitudes
