  6. Review: Conditions in Pre-World War II Germany • Economic effects of WWI & war reparations -Germany repaying war debt -Started printing more and more cash -The value of money went down: inflation -Unemployment grew • Unstable government & political situation

Hitler & The Nazi Party • People are looking for military leadership and will listen to anyone who promises to end their suffering • Secret police force • 1933- Election of National Socialist Party- Nazis • Youth camps • Banners/propaganda/rallying • Nationalism • Dictator • Wanting to get back to old position of power
