After hearing the information provided in this brief, you will gain more insight into the command security program, be able to identify the key personnel involved and have more knowledge about this important issue.     7. Command Personnel Security Procedures Verify access requirement. Verify clearance eligibility via the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). Investigations/Periodic Reinvestigations submitted via SF-86/Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ). Final Adjudications received from Department of the Navy Central Adjudication Facility (DON CAF/OPM).

    8. Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire Short title EPSQ Computer based submission of investigation request. Required for all military and civilian submissions. Requires checks, verification and certification by Security Manager prior to submission.

    9. Classified Material Control All material controlled by the Security Manager. Maintained in approved security containers. Amount of material is kept to minimum.     10. Protect National Secrets Keep all on-line transmissions, - e-mail, and attachments- UNCLASSIFIED. Keep telephone conversations brief and UNCLASSIFIED. Secure any classified material in appropriate containers. Do not move or relocate classified material unless authorized. How can you contribute to classified material control? By following these fairly simple rules. For the last bullet, material may be hand carried by an individual who is appropriately cleared and designated to carry the material.     11. Keys are issued by AECS Bowman or AWC Shaw. Signatures are required upon issue and number of keys kept to a minimum. If issued a key, do not loan it or re-issue it. Keys must be returned to Key Control upon transfer. Key Control

    12. Foreign Travel Required to report to the Command Security Officer prior to departure either upon transfer or vacation. Required to have anti-terrorism and area specific briefings. The Navy wants to ensure all personnel are informed with the right information prior to traveling overseas. Anyone traveling is required to be briefed on the possibility of anti-terrorism activity and/or criminal activity against Americans.
