Receiving Line. Females/Parents go first. Cadets announce the names of their party. Avoid conversation unless the line has stalled. Do not carry drinks through the line. Announce your party’s names in order to C/CPT “Snuffy”, don’t shake C/CPT “Snuffy’s” hand.

  1. Receiving Line • Females/Parents go first. Cadets announce the names of their party. • Avoid conversation unless the line has stalled. • Do not carry drinks through the line. • Announce your party’s names in order to C/CPT “Snuffy”, don’t shake C/CPT “Snuffy’s” hand. • Continue down the receiving line, shake C/LTC “Smith’s” hand, then his date’s hand, and so on down the line. • C/LTC “Smith” will make every possible effort to introduce you to the Guest of Honor, however depending on the speed of the line you may need to repeat the introductions with him. • To someone you don’t know, “How do you do sir/ma’am, this is my date, Anne, and I’m CDT Jones.” • To someone you know, “Good evening, LTC “Davis”, this is my date, Anne.” • Seat yourself and your date.
