  2. Typical Problems Found: • Bad HV Switch Operators • Bad Heaters • Some HV Cable Corona • Bad 500 Amp Molded Case Breaker • Rusted Out Cubical • 480 Volt Main Breakers Failing to reclose – trip rod device hangs up

  3. At Y-ML5, termination mismatch – shield is above the stress cone of the back cable – corona found. Corrective – re-tape and increase spacing between cables

  4. At Y-ML6, Y-ML5, and Y-ML10 – rusted interiors on the side that is next to the roadway

  5. At Y-ML6, Y-ML5, and Y-ML10 – Some of the correctives used on the rusted Interiors.

  6. Typical Allis-Chalmers 1500KVA Substation Low Voltage 480 Volt Section High Voltage Section

  7. On Y-ML10, Bad High Voltage Switch Operator (Was replaces with operator from NS4 NL6A )
