From 2005 to 2009, Joros coached the baseball team at West Boca Raton High School. Joros drew from his experience as a collegiate baseball player for Purdue University, and a brief professional career. He relished the opportunity to be on the baseball diamond again, teaching young players how to play the game that he loves.

  2. Community Luminary Brian Jorosbelieves that community is just a word without participation. It’s one thing to call oneself a member of a community, and another to participate in it and help it grow. Joros, while living in West Boca Raton, Florida, participated in his community by coaching the West Boca Raton High School baseball team from 2005 to 2009. West Boca Raton High School Baseball Coach Brian Joros had a successful career as a college baseball player, donning the black and gold of the Purdue Boilermakers. He was even drafted and played briefly in the minor leagues. After settling in West Boca Raton, he coached the West Boca Raton High School baseball team from 2005 to 2009, earning a win-loss record of 93-36.

  3. National Grand Slam Baseball Tournament Brian Joros coached the West Boca Raton High School baseball team to a gaudy 93 wins and only 36 losses during his tenure as coach from 2005 to 2009. Joros took the team to a Regional Championship victory in 2007 currently runs the National Grand Slam Baseball Tournament, in which some of Florida’s best amateur players compete annually. A Life in Baseball Brian Joros coached the West Boca High School baseball team to a Regional Championship in 2007. He currently runs the West Boca Fall League, a twelve-team Fall Baseball League Fundraiser. Over the years, Joros has raised some fifty thousand dollars for the West Boca High School baseball team. He has used his experience as a collegiate player and minor league player to help his community.

  4. National Grand Slam Tournament Brian Joros founded the National Grand Slam Baseball Tournament, a national event that includes teams from fourteen different states. Joros is the director and the head of finances, and he directs a sixteen-member Board of Directors, recruits teams from outside the state, and maintains the tournament’s 503c nonprofit status while courting corporate sponsors and outside vendors. One of the joys of running the organization, he says, is watching the players compete. Coach of the Year Brian Joros grew up with baseball, and he continues to build his life around the game. He played in college for the Purdue Boilermakers, earning All Big Ten Academic honors in 1998. He also played professional ball in the minor leagues. Since then, he has been involved in coaching. Joros won the 2000 Osceola County Baseball Coach of the Year.
