  1. A4 paper: a quick guide for buying the best paper Every office requires A4 papers, and officials think that every paper is equal so they can pick just anything. It is a common notion that all papers are made equal, but it is not so. There are differences in A4, i.e. 210 mm by 297 mm papers. Paper buyers need to understand those differences to choose the best photocopier paper for their needs. First of all, you need to get familiar with paper lingo before contacting any photocopier paper suppliers. A4 paper selection begins with the understanding of paper and certain terms related to it. In order to make the right choice, you will need to know some jargons. Here you go: Reams It simply is the unit of quantifying paper. Reams should always come to you as the measurement unit. A ream of paper means a packaged stack with a standard amount of paper. Usually, one ream has 450 to 500 sheets of paper. GSM Another measurement unit you would come across is GSM, which stands for Grams per Square Meter. It measures the density of a sheet of paper. Opacity It means the amount of light that can be passed through the sheet, which is a measurement of paper’s translucency. Opacity matters in double-sided printing. Paper weight The most commonly used A4 papers are 70 or 80 GSM. Note that the 10 grams make a lot of difference in selecting the paper. 80 GSM A4 paper is heavier and usually more preferred for printing needs. Using 80 GSM papers eases the printing and photocopying headaches, because it offers just the right thickness. Anything above like 120 GSM and beyond are considered good for distributional materials like business cards and flyers. 70 GSM A4 paper If you want printer service regularly, you would use 70 GSM A4. If not, you would want to stay away from it. These papers are more suitable for writing and sketching needs. The lighter the paper, more jams it can cause. So, using lighter paper than these two A4 papers may cause jams to occur more frequently. Lighter papers are thin and chances of their sticking together while printing multiple documents are higher. A4 copier paper manufacturers like Double A are known for high-quality papers for office printing and photocopying needs. They make papers with ideal thickness and opacity that are needed for office printing. Now as you understand the paper, you can make an appropriate choice, quite easily.
