4. In March 2010 seven states received the “Healthy Futures: Medication Administration in Early Education and Child Care Settings” funding: Arizona Arkansas Kansas Massachusetts Oklahoma Pennsylvania Washington Healthy Futures: Medication Administration in Early Education and Child Care Settings

March 2010 – Funding awarded to Oklahoma Chapter AAP State Level Collaboration: Chapter Child Care Contact (CCCC) of Oklahoma Chapter, AAP Maternal and Child Health Service (MCH) including the ECCS Coordinator, Oklahoma State Department of Health Oklahoma Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA) Healthy Futures: Medication Administration in Early Education and Child Care Settings

6. Oklahoma’s Initial Planning Meeting: CCCC invited Nurse Child Care Health Consultants affiliated with the child care resource and referral agency and the Child Care Warmline, as well as MCH Staff Two Train-the-Trainer Sessions planned: - Oklahoma City - April 30, 2010 - Tulsa – May 7, 2010 - Workshops targeted medical professionals, e.g., Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses Sessions to be Co-Trained CCCC and Nurse Child Care Health Consultants Healthy Futures: Medication Administration in Early Education and Child Care Settings
