  4. What is Pulpitis? Pulpitis, a condition characterized by toothache, takes place due to the inflammation in the pulp of the tooth. The pulp of a tooth, which is a spongy and soft tissue, is located in the inside of the tooth. It has several nerves and blood vessels and carries the responsibility of offering nutrients to the tooth. When the pulp faces a bacterial infection, it causes enormous pain.
