Here’s to know • Social media can take your business to the next level • Know the most useful tools to use for social media • Building meaningful relationships on social media
How to use social media effectively in your business • Know the key people in the social media industry • Start building relationships • Know your niche
Perseverance is the key • With Perseverance you will keep going and going • Produce a lot of content • Contents drive a lot of traffic • And traffic generates sales.
Lack of Perseverance It’s very easy to get up in the morning and go, “Well, I won’t produce today.” or “I won’t produce tomorrow” but that’s not going to grow your business. You have to be persistent and constantly produce, constantly deliver.
The Key to Success Relationships is the key to success “The most important key to achieving great success is to decide upon your goal and launch, get started, take action, move.” Brian Tracy
Building meaningful relationships on social media • Meeting up with like-minded entrepreneurs make a lot of difference • Connect with lots of great people and built lots of great relationships • It’s just meeting friends, connecting with people, and getting to know them. • Have great fun networking.
Create strategic media content When you write content to your website then you start interacting and building relationships with the right people in the industry that have websites, have been around for years and are highly ranked then your content starts moving up.
Having a good content If you have some great content then you can bring them onboard with a paid traffic and then it will really start scaling. You can keep them by quality of your content.
Is social media a good advertising channel? • Everything’s all connected. If people get to know you through Twitter, overtime then when they’re searching for something they might see you in search results in Google, or they might type in your name in Google. So Google, Facebook, Twitter, it’s all connected.
How does social media affect your business • One of the best things of the social area is when people here about your content, then they go off and start writing about the content, then they link back to your content. And then that’s a big thumbs up from a Google point of view if people are linking to you.
Big mistakes in Social Media The 1st biggest mistake is treating social media a sales channel. • It’s not for advertising; it’s for building relationships, building awareness of your products or services, building up your network
Big mistakes in Social Media The 2nd big mistake is the mistake of creating content for the sake of content • It needs to be much more strategic and takes people down a path.
Big mistakes in Social Media The 3rd big mistake is going in for the kill immediately. • build the relationship and trust first • before they want to do business with you
Big mistakes in Social Media The 4th big mistake is hiring an intern and having them handle the social media.
Big mistakes in Social Media The 5th mistake… Not everyone’s strategy is the same. • tools are fantastic but get your strategy down
In entrepreneurship, you’re going to make lot of mistakes so you might as well make them earlier. Get them out of the way and learn lots because it’s a big learning experience. And the only way of doing it is just get stuck in. The thing is, there’s no perfect idea, just waiting for that perfect idea, it’s never going to happen. It started. Ian Cleary Award-winning blogger
