  4. Social Studies is a Skills Based Class Reading Skills • Sourcing • Contextualization • Corroboration • Close Reading Writing Skills • Constructing an Argument • Using Evidence to support arguments • Explaining Significance • Describing how issues have stayed the same or changed over time.

  5. If they are not reading something substantial everyday they will fall behind

  6. Technology in class and at home Students will be writing essays and paragraphs digitally submitted through google classroom. They will need access to a phone or a computer. Or they can see me periods 3,6, and 7.

  7. How will my student be graded? Classwork, Homework, Participation: 33% • Collected Assignments and Class Readiness Quizzes: 33% • Semi-weekly quizzes and long form homeworks Tests, and Projects: 34% Homework Policy: Homework is assigned on average once or twice a week. It is expected to be completed on time by the assigned date.
