  1. Useful Tips on Setting Up Your Duty Belt

  2. Introduction A Duty Belt is certainly an important component of tactical gear. However, a crucial factor that determines sincerity of an officer towards his job is the way he sets up his duty belt. Having an ordered duty belt defines authenticity of an officer allowing him to react precisely to different situations and thus leaves his hands free for interaction. So, here are some useful tips on setting up your duty belt in a proper manner.

  3. Tip 1: Keep the Belt Easily Accessible Well, as a security officer you can’t predict the worse situation possible, but you can surely prepare yourself with an organized duty belt, which is one of the most important police equipment. For this, you firstly need to place your belt on a table and precisely position all the weapons and accessories in an organized manner for an easy access. Moreover, you too need to make the duty belt balanced with distributed weight for proper setup on the body.

  4. Tip 2: Placing a Baton on the Belt A baton is the most the lengthiest and important accessory; you can’t miss adding to the belt. But simply placing the baton won’t solve the purpose. Positioning the baton plays an important role in setting up a duty belt. Preferably, opt for an expandable baton that occupies less space and can be useful in varying situations. Besides this, a baton should always be placed on the side of your preferred hand rather than in front or back of a belt.

  5. Tip 3: Placing Handcuffs and Pouches Similar to a baton, handcuffs are really important for arrests and should always be easily accessible on a duty belt. At first, handcuffs or handcuff pouches should be placed beneath the small of back or even along with the radio sets. As a suggestion, handcuffs should be kept in pouches that can be opened easily and should be placed away from other bulky pouches.
