  1. A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT REPORT

  2. Sanitation Program & Helping Hands PRESENTED BY : ABDIMALIK ABDULLAHI SALAH REG NO : 11814261 SECTION : D-1807 ROLL NO: A19

  3. Introduction: • Sanitation, hygiene, and cleanliness are the hallmarks of a civilized society. Sanitation is critical for health and sustainable socio-economic development . There is an increasing tendency for communities in rural hinterlands to defecate in the open much to the annoyance of officials who are working overtime to deal with different aspects of sanitation with individuals, families and the nation at large. • Helping Hands is making a difference every day. our donations make it to provide programs and education, support the communities in which we live and work, and serve children and older adults in difficult financial circumstances.

  4. Objectives: • The overall purposes of sanitation are to provide a healthy living environment for everyone, to protect the natural resources: (such as surface water, groundwater, soil), and to provide safety, security and dignity for people when they defecate or urinate. • The main objective of helping hands is to care for and provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphans and vulnerable children and people whith special needs , by providing assistance for human needs (groceries, clothing, medical supplies, and limited financial assistance for rent and utilities); offer hope, encourage self- sufficiency for the poor.

  5. Need and Scope of Sanitation & Helping Hands project • Sanitation is important for all, helping to maintain health and increase life-spans. However, it is especially important for children. • Around the world, over 800 children under age five die every day from preventable diarrhea- related diseases caused by lack of access to water, sanitation and hygiene • diarrhea causes children to lose their appetites, which can lead to malnourishment. • Helping people is important because it's good to do good deeds for others." "It's good to help because it makes you feel good about yourself." "Because it will make you seem like a better person and have others have a better outlook on you." "Because if you help someone in need they feel the need to help another

  6. Functional process/ Methodology adopted for CDP • Sanitation: sanitation has been slowly and steadily falling over the past 5-6 years, while that for water supply has been increasing. Increasing people's access to sanitation and drinking-water brings large benefits to the development of individual countries through improvements in health outcomes and the economy.

  7. Helping Hands: • It can be healthy and all basic needs of the person including: physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual .

  8. Presentation of facts and figures of CDP:

  9. Conclusion of CDP : • Sanitation: • Local people have the potential and capacity to solve to solve their sanitation problem if they are given the opportunity to be involved from inception to completion of the sanitation projects. • Ecological sanitation needs to be diversified and adopted to people’s culture, values and demands rather than generalize solutions developed under completely different conditions. • Helping Hands: • Helping others makes us happy , We shouldn’t ask for rewards. • Any help or donation no matter how small be deeply appreciated and is much needed. • DONATE AND MAKE A DIFFRENEE
