Temperatures can range from -100° to 300°C in some varieties. • General Suitability Because silicon is non-toxic and dermatologically acceptable, it is appropriate for use in medical device and equipment assembly. Silicon O-rings are not suitable for dynamic applications due to their low strength, poor abrasion resistance, and high gas permeability.
