Tracking Student Progress to Inform Intervention Planning and Raise Attainment

BME Attainment Summer 2009. 44% of BME students attained 5 A%-C compared to 56% of other students. 30% BME attained 5*A - C including EM compared to 42% of other students. 93% BME attained 5A*-G grades compared to 94% overall.APS of 343 for BME students compares to 366 overall. BME students are attaining in a similar way to the national picture, the national gap being 10 % on 5A*-C inc EM and the gap at Filton High being 2% but begs the question how can this gap be closed?.
