  1. Baby colic is a natural reaction to stress exhibited by small infants. It can start from the age of a few weeks into the first few months of birth. Parents who are new to parenthood can become quite worried when they have a baby who appears to be crying over nothing. The truth is that when babies cry they are crying because they feel distressed and since they can’t talk, crying is the only way they can express themselves. If you have a child who is constantly crying, you need to pay close attention to the child. Bringing your baby for Colic treatments Monmouth County is one way to relieve your child of whatever is causing the discomfort.

  2. Signs your Child has Colic - There are some tell tale signs to take note of: if your child is always crying after he’s been fed it may be a result of colic. Children react to stress differently but there is one thing they all have in common. They cry for a very long time and only stop oftentimes due to exhaustion. Another sign that your child has Colic is the way he acts when crying. Is he constantly clenching his fist and curving his toes in fury? Check if his back is arching during crying bouts. Other signs can be the reddening of the face due to blood flowing to the veins. All these are signs that your baby is suffering from Colic. There are symptoms associated with this discomfort too.

  3. Symptoms of Colic - Some symptoms include excessive vomiting immediately after the child has been fed. According to research, the use of breastfeeding or bottle feeding is not a cause of baby colic but if your child tends to vomit immediately or soon after he has been fed, it may be as a result of indigestion. Due to the fragile nature of his digestive system, breaking down food into smaller particles may be problematic especially if the system finds the food to be too solid. Indigestion is a known cause of colic and can also affect the child’s ability to sleep.

  4. Treatments - There are different treatment procedures to cure baby Colic and one of the ways to do this is change the diet the child is been fed. A change in diet is the first way to start. Another tip is to change the feeding timetable. Pediatricians advise feeding to be done at least an hour before bedtime. If it is a digestive problem, this may remedy the situation.
