ICF mentor coaching

1. ICF group mentor coaching for those applying for and renewing ICF ACC, PCC, and MCC credentials International Coaching Federation (ICF) mentor coaching consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative, and dialogued process, in order to increase the coaching capability of the coach, and in alignment with ICF core competencies. The purpose of an ICF mentor coaching program is to provide professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level. The ICF provides three levels of credentials which are considered the gold standard in the coaching industry. These are: ACC (Associate Certified Coach) PCC (Professional Certified Coach), and MCC (Master Certified Coach) The credential levels are outlined by ICF through ACSTH and Portfolio paths. A coach is required to receive 10 hours of ICF group mentor coaching to apply for or renew these credentials. For this, the mentee-coach should partner with a mentor coach who holds a valid credential of the same or a higher level, with relevant experience. So for an ACC, one can partner with ACC, PCC, or MCC coach. For a PCC, one can partner with PCC or MCC coach, and for MCC, one can partner only with an ICF-certified MCC coach. 2. 10 hours of ICF group mentor coaching can have a maximum of 7 hours in a group of not more than 10 participants, and 3 hours one-to-one mentoring. On the credentialing application, the applicant must name the mentor coach, their credentialing level, and start and end date of the mentoring relationship, and the number of hours of ICF group mentor coaching received. The ICF group mentor coaching requirement must be fulfilled prior to submitting the application. The documentation is not to be sent by mail or email to the ICF. Only the mentoring log on the online application are accepted by the ICF.
