The Cricut Iron-On Vinyl is one of the most popular items used for crafting. It is sometimes called heat-transfer Vinyl; the Iron-On Vinyl backing activates with heat and pressure, and it does not have the sticker-like adhesive backing. It is most commonly used with materials like shirts, socks, hats, bags, etc., and can be used with surfaces like glass, metal, fabric, wood, paper, faux leather, glass, etc. Iron-On Vinyl is a thin and 몭exible material that comes with rolls or pre-cut sheets and is made up of two layers: a clear plastic bag and colored Vinyl. Types of Iron-On Vinyl 1. Foil Iron-On. It has a re몭ective, shiny look and comes in a variety of metallic colors. 2. Glitter Iron-On. It has a glittery, shimmering look with a variety of colors. 3. Sport몭es Iron-On. It is designed to stretch and 몭ex on activewear fabrics like nylon and polyester and is thin and lightweight. 4. Smart Iron-On. It has one of the best features; without a mat on the Cricut Explore 3, Cricut JOy models, and Cricut Maker 3, it can be cut. 5. Patterned Iron-On. It comes with a huge variety of classic and trendy patterns.  6. Holographic Iron-On. It has a multi-color 몭nish and changes color in the light. Multi-Layered Designs of Vinyl  To create a multi-layer design, you can apply multi-layers of Vinyl on top of each other, and to avoid bubbles or ripples, apply the layers in the correct order. While you can use a regular iron-on as the base layer for other iron-on tops, you cannot use it on top of other iron-on like glitter iron-on as the top layer.  What are the Required Materials for Iron-On Vinyl?

Keep the base material of the Vinyl in the center. 2. Place the vinyl design on the base material with the shiny side up.  3. Apply the heat to the design. 4. Flip the project and apply heat again. How to Cut Iron-On Vinyl? 1. Create the project in the Cricut Design Space. For pre-made designs, you can use the Cricut Image library, and using the Design Space tools, you can make your own designs or can upload your SVG cut 몭le. 2. Mirror the Design. It is important to mirror the design as you need to cut vinyl “upside-down.” To make sure the 몭nal project looks right, you should check the mirror image of the design. 3. Choose the material setting. You can select your speci몭c material from the list of materials, as there is different pressure setting for the different material. With it, make sure that the 몭ne point blade is loaded into the machine.  4. Place the Vinyl on the Cutting Mat. Put the iron-on Vinyl onto the cutting mat with the plastic carrier sheet facing down, and to make sure the Vinyl has 몭rmly stuck to the mat, use a brayer or the scrapper gently. 5. Make the cut. Load the cutting mat into the machine and cut the Vinyl. How to Weed Iron-On Vinyl? Weeding is the process of removing the excess Vinyl that is not a part of the design.
