Conclusions • The new ultrasound sensor array (I400) shows a dynamic range up to 70dB. • The system (transmission and reflective modes) has spatial resolution up to 350mm. • In the study of mice (with fur), we found that the heart motion can be captured. Lower frequency (3.5MHz) ultrasound shows better penetration for the chest region of the mouse. Both frequency and power were not optimized for the chest and abdomen regions. • We are developing image composition method (hardware & software) to integrate images for a large FOV.
