The DC Power Team History of the Power Team and District Mascot “The PowerBot”
Duty. Honor. Power Team! • Those four hallowed words reverently dictate what we ought to be, what we can be, what we will be. They are our rallying points: to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn. • They build our basic character….They make us • strong enough to know when we are weak • brave enough to face ourselves when we are afraid • proud and unbending in honest failure • humble and gentle in success • face the stress and spur difficulty and challenge • stand up in the storm • master ourselves before we seek to master others • have a heart that is clean, a goal that is high • reach into the future yet never neglect the past
Duty. Honor. Power Team • These words teach us to be the BEST SALES PEOPLE, TEAMMATES, CLIPPERS, but most of all…. WE ARE THE DC POWER TEAM!!!
The History of the Power Team • 1998-Marsha Anderson becomes Manager of Pratt Washington District • District chooses new name –”DC POWER TEAM” • April 1998- Power Team creates MISSION VIDEO and wins MID-ATLANTIC “Mission” FILM FESTIVAL • June 1999 – Power Team takes 2nd Place at Regional POA with BOOGIE NIGHTS skit. • 2000 – Lisa Steptoe finds the PowerBot mascot that symbolizes the relentless ferocity and power of the Power Team • District begins a tradition that each new member of the team must proudly carry the mascot at all Pfizer/District Activities

Rules for the “Keeper of the PowerBot” • Always have him/her appropriately dressed for the occasion. • PowerBot must be at any meeting where there are 2 or more Power Team Members present (i.e.. breakfast, lunch, dinner, all meetings, launches, POA, Mid-POA…..) • Keep a constant watch over the PowerBot – the risk of kidnapping or terrorist activity is HIGH • NEVER feed him/her after 12 am and keep away from water – the risk of accidental launching of ammo is HIGH • DO NOT LOSE AMMO! An unarmed PowerBot makes the whole district vulnerable to attack. • NEVER, NEVER, NEVER leave the PowerBot. An unattended PowerBot may go on his/her own missions. We would not want to admit to casualties in other districts/divisions.
Programming PowerBot • Turn on both headset and PowerBot. • On headset, press and hold “reset” button for 5 seconds. Release. • PowerBot will ask you to say his commands (i.e. “Say CommandoBot”…You will then say “PowerBot”. Robot will say “Repeat”. You say “PowerBot”. Keep following until all his commands are entered) • Keeper of PowerBot will be the only “MASTER” able to issue command.
