However, candidates who have certification from one of the professional societies must make sure that the exams given by that society have been approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Planning, etc. • Candidates who got their qualifying degree from a country other than India or are in the process of getting it: Must be in their 3rd year or higher or have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Arts, or Commerce (which takes at least 3 years).

International candidates wishing to compete in GATE exam 2023 should meet the following requirements: • Must have completed or be in the final year or pre-final year of a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or a related field. • Must have finished or be in the final year or pre-final year of a Post Graduate degree in any relevant science subject.
