  1. Principles of Prescribing 20-22 April 2008 This module forms part of our GOC accredited training programme for ‘Additional Supply’ and ‘Supplementary Prescribing’. Combined with our Principles of Therapeutics module and completion of a hospital placement, optometrists may be entered onto a specialist register for therapeutic prescribing • Lectures and training delivered by leading Ophthalmologists and Optometrists in the field • In-depth training in the diagnosis and management of common eye conditions • Comprehensive coverage of principles of prescribing and the legal framework • Accredited for CET points • Accredited for Postgraduate Credits which can be accumulated for a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or MSc in Clinical Optometry • Speakers will include: • Prof Chris Hammond • Prof Roger Buckley • Prof John Lawrenson • Dr Catherine Duggan Department of Optometry and Visual Science (Speakers to be confirmed) The provisional programme is shown overleaf. You may choose to attend for the first day only or for the full three days. The module is fully accredited for CET points and delegates who successfully complete the examination will be awarded postgraduate credits towards a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or MSc in Clinical Optometry.
