  3. Let’s Take It From the Top:What is APTA? The only national organization dedicated to advancing and protecting the interests of the physical therapy profession and its practitioners APTA’s goal is to foster advancements in physical therapy practice, research, and education

  4. APTA Is a Member-Driven Organization More than 73,000 members elect More than 400 representatives to the House of Delegates, who then elect 15 individuals to the Board of Directors, which includes APTA’s president

  9. APTA Protects and Serves the Physical Therapy Profession ADVOCACY • APTA coordinated successful grassroots efforts that persuaded legislators to pass HR 6331 in July 2008 • In 2007 APTA fought to prevent a scheduled 5% reduction in the Medicare fee schedule conversion factor
