Where did we leave off?. At the end of the Elizabethan era, we found that The Puritans had come in and shut down all the theatre houses for 18 years. Then in 1660 we were blessed with the restoration of the monarchy which restored theatre. However, this brought us to the end of the Renaissance Period..
