  1. Thank a Caregiver! Honoring Selfless Dedication Steadfast. Hard-working. Devoted. Senior care professionals assist family caregivers with caring for a loved one and give family caregivers a much- needed break. The Right at Home Caregiver of the Year program’s national and regional awards honor five top honorees among its 20,000 U.S. caregivers who compassionately deliver extraordinary care to clients. The following are ways to show appreciation to professional caregivers in your community: Simply make it a habit to say “thank you for your help.” Buy or make a thank-you card and include a handwritten note of appreciation. Treat the caregiver to a gift card for dinner, movie, coffee, etc. Recognize the caregiver’s birthday. Share “a job well done” with the caregiver’s manager.
