2. What Brand of Ice cream is the Best? Background: Include why you chose your project, jingles, advertisements, and slogans, and any other important information Materials: -List Procedures: -How did you collect your data? Data Analysis: This is where you state the numbers In your data. Example: Tillamook had a total score of 19, Darigold had a total of 17 points and Dreyers came in last with a total of 9 points Hypothesis: Tillamook Ice Cream will be the favorite because that is the brand my family buys Variables: Manipulated: Brand of Ice Cream Response: Participants’ Favorites (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Conclusion: The data supported my hypothesis that Tillamook would be the favorite ice cream. Include sources of error and future research ideas.

5. Variables • Manipulated: The 3 brands you have chosen • Response variable: What are you measuring? -Example: 1st, 2nd, 3rd favorite? Assign each a point value Variables: Manipulated: Brand of Ice Cream Response: Participants’ Favorites (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

6. Materials List and Procedures • Include any and all supplies used • How did you collect your data? • Repeat at least 3 times -In taste tests, making sure to ask multiple people will serve the purpose of repeating 3 times

7. Data Table • Include a descriptive title • Label X and Y variables (with units)

8. Graph • Everyone should have a bar graph • Brands on X axis • Descriptive Title • Label X and Y axis (with Units)

Data Analysis • State the data (What are the numbers?) • With taste tests, state the overall points each product received -Ice Cream example: 1st favorite 5 points, 2nd favorite 3 points, 3rd favorite 1 point -i.e. Tillamook received 17 points, Darigold received 13 points, and Dreyers received 7 points

10. Conclusion • Restate your question and hypothesis • Did your data support or not support your hypothesis? • Sources of error? (human error) • Further questions or research
