  1. Dubai’s Property Law — Its Difference from Others If you’re going to Dubai, it’s important to learn about the city’s different laws and regulations. Things are much easier if you’re just a tourist, you only have to abide by simple rules to avoid run- ins with legal authorities. But if you’re planning to live in Dubai, there are numerous property laws you have to take into consideration. Dubai’s property laws differ significantly from the rest of the world, but they’re not that difficult to understand. What are some differences between Dubai’s property laws and the laws in other countries? Below are a few examples: 1.Real Estate Law No. 7 Are you a foreigner planning to settle down in Dubai? There’s one law that you should know by heart, and that’s Real Estate Law No.7. This regulation was passed way back in 2006, and it reduced the restrictions on foreigner property ownership in the city. Thanks to this law, foreigners and non-residents are now allowed to own properties through renting or leasing. You can lease a property for up to 99 years, as long as you have the Dubai State Government’s approval. 2.Rental Property Laws Dubai has rental property laws that govern tenant contracts, rent prices, and landlords. It’s important to familiarize yourself with them if you intend to lease a home or office in this part of the world. 3.Inheritance Property Law The inheritance of assets is quite complicated in Dubai. There are different rules for foreigners and locals, making things more complex than they seem. For example, foreign asset owners are required to have valid wills in case of death. If a valid will is not presented, the Court has full control over the division of assets. Don’t be too discouraged if you’re having trouble understanding Dubai’s property laws. For more in-depth explanations, consult an experienced property lawyer who can guide you.
