  1. Food Hopping in Bangalore

  2. 4 Restaurants You Shouldn’t Miss

  3. The best thing about dining out in Bangalore is that delicious cuisines are available from across all the regions of India. The city doesn’t only serve authentic Indian cuisine but has numerous well-known restaurants the serve global cuisines. If you are on a short trip to Bangalore for a couple of days, trying out all of the popular food joints seems impossible. Take a day or two out for indulging your taste buds, and do visit these four famous restaurants:Note: If getting around is a concern, we recommend looking for a self-drive car service provider in the city. You can easily find a reputable operator that provides self-drive cars in India at an affordable price. So, renting out won’t be a problem and it will be easier to see the places around. Here are the four eateries. INTRODUCTION 3

  4. 1. Nagarjuna The canteen-style eatery is one of the most recommended places to get authentic food. There is always a long queue of people waiting to get in, so be prepared to stand in the row, but the wait is worth the efforts. Food is served on banana leaves, and everything on the menu is excellent. If you want to taste everything that they make, go for an unlimited thali. Biryani, prawn sholay kebab, and mutton fry are a must-try at Nagarjuna.

  5. 2. Vembanad If you are new to the city, Vembanad is a fine dining coastal restaurant on the rooftop of the Paul. It has Kerala style décor with traditional brass lamps at the entrance, carved wooden ceiling, terracotta-tiled floors, and teak furniture. Some of the dishes that are a must-try include Thalasseri Kozhi Curry, Meen Nirachathu, Koonthal Ularthiyathu, Alleppey Fish Curry, and Erachi Pathiri.

  6. 3. Harima Harima is an exclusive Japanese restaurant run by a Japanese owner and Chef. It serves all staple dishes and some innovative ones made by Chef Mako. The contemporary seating area has a low seating space and cushions to give guests a Japanese-style meal experience. If you want to stick to the basics, go for sushi, sashimi, tempura, and yakitori. Wafu steak and stewed pork are for those who don’t mind being a bit experimental with their food. You can also ask for a light soup at the end of the meal.

  7. 4. Vidyarthi Bhavan The place is squeezed between little shops, but the food is delicious, and that will make you visit Vidyarthi Bhavan again. You can order a masala dosa, appam, or traditional thali to savour that authentic flavour. The service is prompt, but you need to reach here before the food runs out.

  8. There are many other popular restaurants in the city, but if you are short on time, these four are a must-try. Take out some time, rent a self-drive car, and you enjoy food exploration in the city.
