    To offer hope as we provide assistance to our neighbors in need. To uphold the dignity of our neighbors in need as they strive for self-sufficiency. To share the ongoing work of assisting our neighbors in partnership with the congregations, schools, businesses and individuals in our communities.

    Slide 3:ICA HISTORY

    ICA was incorporated in 1971 and has served our seven communities for 36 years! Since 1971, weve grown from 5 partner congregations to 33 today ICAs services in 1971 were food and clothingnow ICA provides: Emergency food Emergency financial assistance for rent and mortgage payments, utility bills, car repairs and prescriptions Transportation for seniors to medical appointments Holiday food, trees and toys

    Slide 4:ICA Volunteers, Staff & Board

    Hundreds of volunteers help advance and accomplish ICA goals and mission ICA staff consists of a full-time director, assistant, case managers and part-time supporting staff 10-person Executive Board oversees day-to-day operations A general board consists of a member from each of the 33 congregations

    536,749 lbs. of food were distributed ICA served food to the following: 4,900 households 37,847 individuals 15,839 were children 4,025 were senior citizens 149 households received financial assistance for utility bills, car repairs and prescriptions, etc. 200 households received financial assistance for rent or mortgage payments Holiday giving: 1,197 families served

    ICA submitted over 70 grants in 2007 to foundations, congregations, businesses ICA received over $165,000 in grant monies in 2007 Please contact ICA if you have a foundation or business contact that ICA should pursue

    Expand our donor audience beyond the congregations by securing additional support from local businesses, schools and individuals Improve ICA awareness Who we are and how we fulfill the needs of the community Communicate to new audiences via marketing (ie: billboards, TV, radio, newspaper, mailings) Increase Food, Financial Aid and Volunteers Build programs to drive contributions (ie: drop boxes, sleep-outs, food drives, community events)
