History of Yamunanagar Legend ascribes the origin of Yamunanagar, Haryana to a mythological King Putraka who created Yamunanagar, Haryana by magic for his queen Patali, literally Trumpet flower, which gives it its ancient name Pataligrama. It is said that in honour of the first born to the queen, the city was named Pataliputra. Gram is the Sanskrit for village and Putra means son.

  3. Geography Of Yamunanagar Yamuna Nagar has the river Yamuna (its namesake) running through the district, which forms the eastern boundary with the neighboring Saharanpur district. This boundary is also a state boundary, as Saharanpur is in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The district also separates the Yamuna system from the Satluj river system.

Here is the statue of Hanuman ji who came in the dream of Baba Janaki Das Ji and Hanuman ji presented himself, and Hanuman ji asked him to install his statue under the Dhaka tree.
