  1. HOW TO MAKE YOUR CHILD FEEL GREAT!

  2. Parents have a busy life schedule with work, errands, appointments and social events often popping up. But it is equally important that you make your kids feel that they are loved and special.

  3. One of the most important life skills is building self confidence in children and this you can give them by making them feel good about themselves. Surprisingly children develop the feeling of self awareness very early in life and the sooner you make them feel special and valued, the better it is.

  4. The best thing is that there are very simple things that you can do every day to make your child feel valued. Remember, making your child feel special is very simple because a child feels great when he is respected, noticed, listened to and heard. Also, keep in mind that it is not the activity that makes your child feel good, but the energy behind that activity.

  5. Happy Mornings!

  6. Make Morning Moments Special Even though morning is the rush time for almost every home, you can spend at least 5 minutes with your child and help him wake up softly and with cuddle and hug. Morning can prove to be the best time to connect with your children. They will go to school and will not be able to see you for the whole day.

  7. Snuggle and Cuddle Always keep in mind that physical touch plays a very important role in making your child feel special and connected. Take every opportunity to express your love for your child.

  8. Ask For Help Every parent feels good treating their children as children and likes to do things for them. But, if you include him or her in your task he or she will instantly feel special and important. You can include your child in preparing the list and take him or her along to the grocery store. Take his or her help when preparing dinner as well.

  9. A family which works together, stays together…

  10. Have Bedtime Fun Bedtime is the best time when you can make your child feel great and valued. You can talk about anything that he or she wants to talk or share with you. Switch off the light and just cuddle so that he or she feels relaxed and perhaps this will make him sleep well also. You can take along your spouse and have some family fun time also every day.

  11. Happy children sleep better…

  12. Use Adoring and Motivating Phrases Make sure you say ‘I love you’ and ‘I am proud of you’ whenever you find it necessary. There are other things which you must say to your child that will help you make him or her feel loved, motivated and great. Make sure you pay attention on focusing on making him or her feel great about himself or herself and your relationship.

  13. Reassure your child as often as you can…

  14. One of the best and easiest ways to make your child feel good about himself is to spend time with him or her. This must include talking to him or her and listening to everything he or she says. Take genuine interest in his or her activities. Make sure you never put your child down. Always be patient and understanding when talking to him or her.

  15. Doing activities together…

  16. Support your child when you see that he or she is struggling and frustrated and praise him or her when you observe the effort. Respect his or her feelings and abilities and express your affection often. Just keep in mind that every child is special and accept him or her as he or she is whole heartedly.
