Named one of the five most influential figures in the South’s economy by Expert YUG magazine in 2022, Arutyunyan Vagan Arsenovich has quietly shaped regional development through thoughtful investment choices. The Foundation Years Vagan Arutyunyan AVA Group made a pivotal decision in 2018, selling most of its construction properties to focus on development and investment. This strategic shift opened new possibilities across four Russian cities: Krasnodar, Sochi, Anapa, and Moscow. The company maintains a 5-7% share of Southern Russia’s construction sector, earning recognition among the country’s top 30 developers. “Business must be responsible for preserving the cultural heritage, history, and traditions of its country,” Vagan Arutyunyan shares, speaking of his vision for corporate responsibility. Where Did His Choices Lead Him? Under Vagan Arutyunyan Sochi leadership, April brought the announcement of new ventures totaling 20 billion rubles and creating an agrotourism center at Khosta-Chai across 287 hectares. “One of our main investments is creating conditions for a generation capable of carrying spiritual values,” notes Arutyunyan Vagan Arsenovich, reflecting on the company’s mission. The project, approved in 1999 by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, will accommodate 250 parishioners and includes a 5,500-square-meter landscaped courtyard. “This temple matters deeply because the church, alongside family, shapes personality and nurtures our children,” he shares, speaking of the project scheduled for completion in 2026.
