ACCESSORIES • I have chosen these specific accessories because this is commonly what fortune tellers wear. They wear a lot of jewelry and the key is quantity. They wear big hoops with loads of chunky bracelets on their wrists. They also wear big chunky rings with gems in them. With the headscarf I want their hair down with curls and then the scarf on top. This is the aim for our opening sequence. Click to add text
OUTFIT Fortune tellers don’t actually have a specific outfit that they wear. But their look is anything but basic. What is really important for the outfit is layering. From the top to the skirt to the jewellery, layering is essential. Fortune tellers also normally wear bright colours such as purple, red and gold. For the outfit I will first start with a white puffy blouse on the top. For the second layer on top I want a type of corset that ties at the front. And the skirt will be bright coloured and have lots of layers as well and it should preferably go down to the middle of the calf. •
MAKEUP • Fortune tellers wear a lot of bright colours. I purposely chose purple makeup because it stands out and also a smokey eye is very commonly used for the makeup of a fortune teller. The white contacts are very spooky and creepy which is the theme we are looking for. I think they will pull the whole look together.
Our first character is obviously the fortune teller. She will be wearing a white blouse with a tie corset top over the blouse and then for the bottom a layered long skirt. The key is a fortune teller outfit is the jewellery. She will be wearing a head piece with earrings and necklaces as well as a nose chain. And for her hands she will wear chunky gem rings including a bracelet ring. All of the jewellery will be gold. And for her makeup again we will be carrying on with the bright colours but also her makeup needs to be haunting and scary. And so we are using white eye contacts. 1ST CHARACTER
2ND CHARACTER • The second character is a lot simpler to the first. This is because she is a teenage girl and her face isn't shown that much in the sequence. Because she is a teenager she will be dressed in casual clothes. We purposely picked out character with blonde hair because she looks more innocent and sweet. Her hair will be down and she will be wearing a plain jumper and jeans. I don't want her dressed in anything to colourful of distracting because it will take the attention off the fortune teller.
