  19. Force Development Developing and Maintaining Warfighter Spirit Force Development and Adventurous Trg Strategy “The PCP Mandate (…produce and implement a strategy to ensure GETR coherent delivery processes between unit, FDTC, Residential PMD(Air) online Ed & Trg. Achieving one FD/AT and 0ne Staff Ride (SR) event every 3 years for all personnel’) 20

  20. What is FD? The aim of FD is to improve operational effectiveness through individual and collective knowledge, trg and skills. This, in turn, leads to the increased preparedness and enhanced competence of all personnel to carry out their duties, either in situ or deployed on exercise or operations. (AP3379, Leaflet 2410) 21

  21. FD/AT Implementation Strategy Consistent approach across the RAF Units to provide all personnel with at least one ‘quality’ FD/AT trg activity every 3 years Delivery mechanisms - Stn Major & Minor Expeds and SRs; centralised FD/AT (Eagles Scheme); FDTCs; other stn-based activity (70% GETC directed) Centralisation of AT Funding (incl T&S) & Instructors Industrial roll out through FD – 52 weeks blended FD/AT/Sport Each activity must be fully justified with clear objectives linked to the GETR Mandated PET for all FD personnel (FDFC & FDCC) Aspire to include civilians, contractors and others who support RAF’s operations – ‘Whole Force Concept’ 22

  22. FD/AT Implementation Strategy ‘RAF PCP Requirement = 12,500 FD/AT events per year’ FDTC FT / Residential Trg = 5,000 Stn FD/AT Expeds + JSAT cses = 4,000 Centralised FD/AT (Eagles) = 3,500 Total = 12,500
