An accomplished and highly respected businessman based in Oman, Dr P Mohamed Ali is a multifaceted personality known for his strong commitment in education and philanthropy. • Dr P Mohamed Ali’s business ventures in India are fast becoming top enterprises in the infrastructure development and hospitality sectors. These include Mfar Constructions based in Bangalore and Mfar Hotels at Cochin,and the International Convention Centre, Cochi, Westin Hotel, Chennai & Azaiba Hotels LLC, Oman. • He has received many awards and honors for his outstanding work in the field of construction and Infrastructure.

Leadership Award Given to P Mohamed Ali • The Construction Awards 2013, which was conducted recently in Muscat, felicitated industry performers, best practices, technologies and project excellence through a unique awards ceremony.  • At a gala function, the "best of the best" performers from the construction industry were felicitated with coveted trophies in 16 different categories. • The organisers recognising the 42 years of unceasing efforts to bring the construction industry into its current status, through leadership and development of the people felicitated Dr P. Mohamed Ali of Galfar Engineering and Contracting with a special award for 'leadership and people development.'

This award is yet another tribute to P Mohamed Ali pioneering efforts in developing Galfar from a small enterprise to become the pride of the Sultanate and be recognised not only across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) but also in India. • P Mohamed Ali as the chairman of the Oman Society of Contractors is endeavouring to bring together the contracting industry outside of the oil and gas sector. • One of his main goals is to develop the local contracting fraternity into a formidable 'Brand Oman' to deliver projects in a timely manner, safely, with top of the rank quality standards and within budget and take this across the GCC and the rest of the world.
