  1. Behind the Magic of Weta Narrator: For generations, the _________________________ has existed only in the mind’s eye. Now beginning with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, special effects supervisor Richard Taylor and his team from Weta, winners of four Academy Awards for Lord of the Rings, are _____________________________ to bring CS Lewis’ magical world to life. Richard Taylor: We’ve been working on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for 2 years now. We are looking after _____________, and the ________, and the _________________ of Narnia, and other little bits and pieces. Narrator: One of the biggest challenges Richard Taylor and his design team faced was ____________________________________ that brought ultimately inhabit the world of Narnia. Richard Taylor: A lot of CS Lewis creatures, the minotaurs, the harpys and such like, were based strongly in ________________. Where the challenge came was actually trying to refine these mythological creatures into something that ________________________. And then making sure that they work as suit characters. It’s one thing to create the a totally CG creature that has to tie back to physical world. But then having to fit an actor that has to cope with _______________________ with the heat and rain and the comings and goings of film life was a whole another issue. We do believe it’s our responsibility to help the actor_________________ of the character. Swordsmith Peter Lyon: If they are given a real sword rather than something that they know is a prop. It just helps them to get into the character that much more. Richard Taylor: We hope that when they take hold of their sword, they feel like they are embracing not a prop, but the thing that would _______________________ in the world of Narnia. It’s the _________________ that will make it feel like it was made by craftsmen of Narnia.
