  5. Family Advocacy • The Family Advocacy Program is a prevention and intervention program that addresses issues of family and partner violence, child abuse and neglect, and elderly abuse and neglect.

  6. Focus • FAP focuses on the overall safety of both victims and offenders in Domestic Violence situations. • FAP refers families to programs that increase their overall resilience, preventing the possibility of re-offending.

  7. Collaboration and Training • The Family Advocacy Specialist collaborates with commands, CGIS, and other entities of law enforcement when necessary or appropriate to assist families in crisis. • The Family Advocacy Specialists provide training and make individual specific recommendations to commands.
