This crash course on the 5E Learning Cycle emphasizes creating interest and generating curiosity through discrepant events and thought-provoking questions. It encourages collaborative problem-solving among students while guiding them to discover their understanding of concepts. Educators are advised to consult rather than teach, eliciting definitions and justifications to deepen comprehension. By incorporating multiple experiences and open-ended questions, students are prompted to apply new concepts in varied contexts, enhancing their critical thinking and self-assessment skills.
