  3. Project Background 3rd FEALAC Science and Technology Working GroupMeeting held in Costa Rica on the 7th and 8th of march, 2005 “Implementing the FEALAC Portal” was the proposal made by the Costa Rican Technical Team. www.fealac.org / www.focalae.org

Main objetives of the project • Get to know the Forum and contain every iniciative presented by its member states. • Portal linking the web sites of all member countries. • Facilitate the communication in Track 1 (Ministries of Foreign Affairs). • Cooperation between Track 2 (Government organizations) and Track 3 (non government organizations, society in general and academic institutions).

  6. Contents of the project • Main portal site for the Forum in general. • Standardized sub portals for each country Member of the Forum. • Content management by each country • Contents covering all pertinent issues (previously defined by the Forum).

  7. Bases of the portal site • Costa Rica’s initiative – Science and Technology Work Group. • Content management must be created by each country. • The promotion and diffusion of the tool’s use will be: Track 1>Track 2>Track 3. • Development in an organic way should be allowed.
