The National Coordination Offices (NCOs) play a pivotal role in the United Nations Spatial Data Infrastructure (UNSDI) by acting as the main point of contact for member countries. They are responsible for delivering cohesive products and services, fostering capacity building, and strengthening institutional frameworks in relation to geographic information. NCOs also harmonize national spatial data infrastructures (SDIs) with international needs, facilitating the sharing of geo-information. This ensures that both national users have access to international data and vice versa, enhancing collaboration and decision-making.
