Meeting Objectives • Provide citizens with an overview of the ATMS Installation in Southern Broward County and it’s link to the Transportation System Management and Operations program (TSM&O). • Provide public with an understanding of project benefits. • Raise awareness of construction schedule and impacts. • Facilitate coordination between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and impacted municipalities. • Provide contact information for FDOT Design Project Manager, Melissa Ackert & Vladimir Velasco and Construction Public Information Officer, Dayana Iglesias. TSM&O and ATMS Concepts ATMS Deployment in Southern Broward County TSM&O is a new program within FDOT. It is based on measuring performance, actively managing the multimodal transportation network and delivering positive safety and mobility outcomes to the traveling public in South Florida. Intelligence Transportation Systems (ITS) devices are the main components of any TSM&O approach.

Data collected used to adjust traffic signals to improve timing and flow of traffic. Construction Timeline Summer 2013 - Fall 2014 Cost: $5.3 millionContractor: World Fiber Technologies, Inc. Lane Closures: The project team will coordinate construction to have limited impact on the communities surrounding and within the project limits. City of Hallandale Beach Project Status • All underground infrastructure is complete. • 75% of Fiber Optic Cable has been installed. • 25% of CCTVs completed. • 100% of MVDS. • 100% of ADMS. • All ATMS device testing is anticipated to be completed by June 22 • Anticipated Project Completion Date is July 22.
