  11. Exam Questions The exam will come in 2 SECTIONS SECTION A: This is approx 3/4 questions on a product. The product is game console storage. This section will include: 1: Specification 2: Design 3: Development of Design 4: Evaluate SECTION B: This section could ask you anything related to Resistant Materials. However, there are some questions that come up every year. See Section B for examples. The following questions are taken from past papers or made up by little old me 

  14. Question 1- Always on Specification: 1 What is a SPECIFICATION? • It tells you SPECIFIC information about a product. For example, its function, target market, what it looks like, safety features. List the headings you would find in a SPECIFICATION? • Target market • Size • Function • Environment • Cost • Materials • Manufacture • Safety • Appearance (aesthetics) • Finish / Colour List the design requirements for a storage unit that would be used to store items • The product must be SAFE • The product must be the CORRECT SIZE • The product must be FIT FOR PURPOSE • The product must be made from SUITABLE MATEIRALS • The product must be suitable for it’s intended TARGET MARKET
