  2. The Creation of the Universe • In the Beginning, there was Nothing…The Goddess Nuit • Nothing contracted Itself into a Point…The Lord Hadit • Nothing had become Two… • One united with One Again and Again and Again unto Infinity…Unto the Manifestation of the Physical Universe

  3. A Map of the Universe • The Ancient Hebrew Cabbalists called Nothing the Ain Soph Aur – The Boundless Light • When it drew to a Point, Nothing had become Kether –The Crown • Their interplay is shown in the “Tree of Life” which is a map of the Macrocosm (The Universe) & the Microcosm (Man)

  4. Legend • The 10 Spheres are called Sephiroth and depict states of both mind & physical manifestation. • The 22 Pathways between the Spheres are Dualistic, depending on the direction traveled, & are symbolized by the Trumps of the Egyptian Tarot Deck.

  5. Levels of Consciousness • Notice there are 7 levels of Consciousness, each pertinent to a Chakra (or psychic center) in the human body. • There is also an 8th, which is the divide between Human & Divine mind called “The Veil of the Abyss.”

  6. The Tree of Life & The I Ching One of the many accomplishments of the English Magus Aleister Crowley was to equilibrate the Hebrew Cabbalistic “Tree of Life” with the ancient Chinese “I Ching.” This was no small task.

  7. Nomenclature One The name of the Sephiroth and their primary attribute are as follows: • Kether – The Crown • Chokmah – Wisdom • Binah – Understanding • Chesed – Mercy • Geburah – Strength • Tiphareth – Beauty • Hod – Splendour • Netzach – Victory • Yesod – The Foundation • Malkuth – The Kingdom

Nomenclature Two • 12 – Hanged Man • 13 – Death • 14 – Art • 15 – The Devil • 16 – The Tower • 17 – The Star • 18 – The Moon • 19- The Sun • 20 – The Aeon • 21 – The Universe • Illustrations of the trumps can be seen in The Book of Thoth by Aleister Crowley. The Paths and the Tarot trump attributed to them are: • 0 - The Fool • 1 - The Magus • 2 - The Priestess • 3 - The Empress • 4 – The Emperor • 5 – The Hierophant • 6 – The Lovers • 7 – The Chariot • 8 – Adjustment • 9 – The Hermit • 10 – Fortune • 11 - Lust
