Introduction • Prefixes: Dis- ; Pro- • Dis- = means “absence,” “opposite,” “to reverse,” “to remove,” or “not.” • Pro- = means “forward” or “before.” • Roots: Dic/ Dict ; Spect • Dic/ Dict= means “to tell, say.” • Spect= means “to see, watch.” • Suffixes: -Able ; - Ous • -Able = means “capable of” or “tending to.” • - Ous = means “full of” or “characterized by.”
