BARTEC BENKE systems • Vapor pressure is measured according to the Reid method • Simplified description of the method: • Liquid sample is conditioned to 37.8°C (100°F) • A fixed volume of liquid is expanded at a ratio of 1 : 4 • The resulting pressure is recorded (after reaching the equilibrium) 1 - 2 October 2014 22nd Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Conference 8

BARTEC BENKE systems • Viscosity is measured acc. to ASTM D445 • Simplified description of the method: • Pre-treated sample is temperature controlled at set pressure and flow • Measuring temperature is pre-set and can be changed to meet target viscosity measuring conditions • Pressure drop across the capillary is measured • A Coriolis mass flow meter measures mass flow and density at the capillary outlet 1 - 2 October 2014 22nd Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Conference 14

BARTEC BENKE systems • The MGA-nano is designed for gas chromatography analysis of gases and low-boiling petrochemical liquids. • The analysis consists of determining the quality and quantity information on individual components of an unknown sample. • The key part of the analysis is the micro gas chromatography module (GC module for short) based on MEMS technology (micro-electro-mechanical system). • Every GC module is equipped with a specific separating column or separating column circuitry. • A powerful thermal conductivity detector (TCD) with very good detection limits is subsequently used to detect the separated components. • In order to expand the area of application of the MGAnano is equipped with a continuously operated evaporator unit. This allows low-boiling liquids to be evaporated at a preset temperature and under the controlled addition of a carrier gas. 1 - 2 October 2014 22nd Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Conference 17

  19. BARTEC BENKE systems • Subsystems: Sample Conditioning System (SCS) and Closed Loop Chiller (FKS) • Sample is conditioned prior to entering the analyzer. Pressure, temperature and flow are set. Impurities and water will be removed • Both, RVP-4 and VISC-4 require coolant to guarantee measurement according to ASTM 1 - 2 October 2014 22nd Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Conference 19

TEXON Blending System • Unblended crude oil flows to the on-line analyzers • One analyzer measures vapor pressure correlating to ASTM D5191 • The second measures viscosity at seasonally set temperature according to ASTM D445 • Results are transmitted to on-site PLC • Software calculates optimal diluent and/or butane blend percentages to inject 1 - 2 October 2014 22nd Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Conference 22
