WELCOME TO 8 BLUE MATH!

Step into 8th Grade Blue Math! In this classroom, seating is assigned, and punctuality is key to success. The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell, and an emergency pass is required to leave the room. Know your way around the classroom, with resources like the data wall and supply closet at your fingertips. Student Classroom Managers earn extra credit through various roles. Meet Mr. Delinski, a lifelong teacher from East Peoria, who is passionate about teaching and community!

ENTERING & EXITING • Seats are assigned; you are tardy if not in the assigned seat when the bell rings. • The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell. • You must have a pass to leave the room during class time, and then only for an emergency. Emergencies are RARE. Use the restroom during passing times. • Sign Out Sheet: • On desk by the door. • Always sign out and back in with your location.

CLASSROOM MANAGERS • People who are responsible for tasks in the classroom. • Extra credit for volunteers. • Names chosen randomly (via website). • Jobs • Classroom Leader: Helps Mr. Delinski & Coordinates Other Mangers • Attendance: Takes attendance each day for class. • Collectors: Collect and pass out papers to classmates. Places absent work in folders. • Supplier: Passes out materials from supply area. • Gopher: “Go for this…go for that.” • Utility Person: Takes over for absent managers. • Timer: Keeps Track of Time with a Stop Watch During Class

Mr. Delinski (Mr. D.) • Born & Raised in East Peoria! • Attended 8th grade History in this classroom with Mr. Estes. • Had the other Mr. D. as a teacher! • Family is full of teachers. • Fan of: White Sox, Buccaneers, Illini, Blackhawks • Graduate of: • CJHS 2000 (Baseball, Newspaper) • EPCHS 2004 (Student Council, Baseball, Golf) • University of Illinois 2008, 2011
